We currently have an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest hospitality company in the world, as the Director of Operations with Wyndham Destinations Japan! This role will allow you to leverage your previous success in a similar role to drive business strategy locally and support business development to expand and further embed Wyndham Destinations footprint in Japan.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of the country corporate office in Tokyo as well as the hotels/resorts across the country. You will have a high level of influence over all facets of the business, particularly with development, operating procedures and infrastructure. This position is required to work closely with all other support functions such as S&M, HR, Finance/IT, Legal as well as Development and Customer Experience, while engraining our Wyndham values across all operations.
What You’ll Bring
To be successful in this role, you will lead by example to cultivate the Wyndham culture and have;
Strong hotel and resort operational experience as Regional/Country Manager in Japan
Proven knowledge of business acumen and in-depth knowledge of diverse business functions & operating principles
Fully understand the external competitive landscape coming up with strategies for expansion, growth, business development and driving customer acquisition
Exceptional communication skills and demonstrated ability to implement change and develop, and maintain a strong culture across a multifunction multi discipline operation
Ability to efficiently multi-task which includes excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in Japanese and English
Strong financial acumen and analysis skills
Excellent people manager, open to direction and a collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization
