We are excited to be currently searching for an Assistant Business Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team based on the Gold Coast, QLD.
How You’ll Shine
This is a key role that focusses on the calculation and payment of weekly, monthly and annual bonuses to a wide variety team across the Asia Pacific region that also provides analytical support to the Sales and Marketing teams and the wider business. Key duties of the role include:
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual bonus calculations, converting raw data into required payments for submission to payroll via MS Excel models and/or other relevant systems
- Perform the issuing of bonus advices to relevant staff for the above calculations
- Assist with the modelling of current & future bonus plans and assess financial implications in line with set targets
- Ongoing and proactive communication with a range of stakeholders across all hierarchy levels in multiple countries to explain calculation models, address ad hoc queries with confidence, clarify while maintaining confidentiality
- Understand and monitor KPI's and underlying data and support the ongoing improvement of pay plans
- Perform the calculation of month end accruals, prepare and review relevant journals for month end reporting
- Support the Budget and Forecast process
- Provide modelling and analytical support to the Marketing & Sales team
- Develop and maintain accurate and meaningful reports via Tableau software based on defined KPI’s
- Work with the business to develop innovative solutions to problems & suggest new ways of reporting, analysis and improving business processes
What You'll Bring
- Accounting or Finance related degree ideally with or working towards CPA/CA or equivalent qualification
- 2-5 years work experience in the field of Business Analytics and/or Management Accounting
- Meticulous attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and self-review
- Advanced Excel skills including modeling
- Experience working with business intelligence reporting tools highly regarded (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills including the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong analytical mindset
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously
