The Application Developer is responsible for implementing enterprise web applications using API driven .Net technologies to deliver products to the travel industry as part of ongoing business initiatives. S/he will provide the technical expertise on the design and construction of new and existing modules as well as the use of appropriate development tools and data flows across a variety of applications. The Developer will interact with various key areas of the business including technical account managers, project managers, solution architects and other development teams across the organization. S/he will serve as an expert for technical planning in the areas of application design, software development, optimization, performance, testing, implementation, and infrastructure. The Developer is also responsible for the quality of the application code and adheres to the relevant coding standards and established patterns.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with solution oriented and innovative design efforts to maximize efficiency.

• Ensure code and output is in compliance with specifications and deliver superior engineering outcomes.

• Participate in technical solution and design discussions.

• Collaborate closely with other developers, solutions engineers, and other teams to drive unique and customized solutions to complex challenges.

• Perform routine analysis to identify patterns, troubleshoot issues and resolve code defects.

• Ability to work independently as well as with other developers and key stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

Education

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Knowledge and skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Must be a self starter adept at working remotely

Technical Skills

• Ability to demonstrate programming skill expertise

• Experience with major application development languages such as .NET, C3, and API based wed technologies

• ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, and jQuery

• Experience with highly integrated application systems\platforms, data flows, and business processes

• Strong SQL experience, required

• Experience with Agile development processes

• Experience with continuous improvement, integration, development, and constant deployment pipeline  

Job experience

• Experience with agile development processes

• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills

• 4+ years experience as a software analyst/developer

• Experience in business process improvement and systems convergence initiatives

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
