Job Description

Assist and support the Accounting Department managing direct bill accounts, overseeing group and company bookings, reconciling third party reservations and employee stays, as well as managing the main safe and cash.  Assists guests/groups/companies with any inquiries before or after stay, including researching credit card authorizations or charges and providing receipts.  Also assists with month end reconciliations, various special projects as needed and performing other miscellaneous clerical and accounting-related tasks.


Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Managing AR direct bill accounts and group contracted stays, by billing entities, applying payments, researching discrepancies and rebilling as needed.  As well as posting all required deposits for groups, companies and third parties. Manages the cash safe and cash banks including regular audits.(70 % time)
2. Assisting guest inquiries, researching charges, providing receipts, preparing authorization releases.  Assisting third party inquiries, researching charges, processing refunds as needed.( 15 % time)
3. Clerical & accounting related tasks including month-end preparation and documentation, verifying TA commissions, verifying routing & adding alerts to reservations as needed.( 15 % time)

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

a) Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent

b) Training requirements
• N/A

c) Knowledge and skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Meet deadlines consistently.
• Ability to work hours to meet deadlines.

d) Technical Skills
• Microsoft Excel Proficiency

e) Job experience
• Accounting-related technical training or 2-year degree preferred
• Accounting experience-minimum of 1 year
• Excel experience - minimum of 1 year
• People Soft /Opera/iHotelier experience – helpful
