The Senior Tax Analyst (Hybrid) is responsible for assisting with a variety of tasks to provide support and coordination of the Tax Department. The role will include the organization of accounting data, the preparation and review of various workpapers, preparation of journal entries, and account reconciliations. The Senior Tax Analyst role will report to the Corporate Tax Manager and will assist in the preparation of U.S. tax reporting, including Federal and State compliance and public company reporting, tax provisions, and disclosures. The role will also include special projects as needed, as well as assistance with foreign provision and tax compliance as needed.
How You'll Shine
Assist with the organization and preparation of federal and state workpapers for tax return compliance and estimated tax payments.
Assist with the organization and management of the federal and state tax provision, including provision estimates, deferred tax reconciliations, and return to provision.
Assist in the preparation of miscellaneous state and local business taxes, including gross receipt taxes.
Assist in the response to federal and state audits and tax notices.
Assist in the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations, and other miscellaneous tasks at the need of the department.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree required.
Accounting major preferred.
CPA preferred but not required
Experience with Federal and State tax compliance, calculations, and forms.
Experience with ASC 740 tax provisions
Proficient in accounting (debits and credits)
Good interpersonal skills
Proficient with excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIF formulas.
PeopleSoft/Oracle general ledger software (preferred).
OneSource Tax Provision software (preferred).
2-4 years of public accounting experience, or
3-5 years of experience in general corporate income tax and accounting environment (public company preferred).
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
