The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of digital marketing programs and projects that help drive top line revenue, free cash flow and EBIT.  This includes assisting with the coordination of quarterly, monthly and weekly campaigns which could include full blown websites, micro sites or landing pages as well as coordinating the use of digital assets like images and content within our content management and asset distribution systems and libraries.  Other essential job functions include working with Convention and Visitor Bureau, destination dot coms and other affiliate type digital based businesses to help in the distribution of Wyndham Extra Holidays (WEH) rental product offerings.

This position requires a collaborative, detail-oriented and self-motivated person who can manage multiple tasks and projects. He/she will utilize the company’s image distribution library known as Leonardo/VFM. This role requires experience and familiarity with best practices related to mobile marketing, media placement and web based content management systems.

Essential Job Functions

Drive Top Line Revenue                                                         

  • Support Digital Marketing Managers to develop and deploy content for promotional campaigns through web, email, mobile, online media and other digital solutions.
  • Partner with Convention & Visitor Bureau, destination dot coms and other affiliate type digital agencies to promote WEH products offerings and business listings.
  • Partner with Analysts to use response analytics and data attributes in creating and optimizing strategic digital campaigns.
  • Partner with internal resources including Brand & Communications, Web/Digital Teams, Engagement Teams, Database Management, Information Technology, Sales & Marketing, Business Operations, Inventory Management, Regional/Field Marketers, Resort Operations, Owner Services, Call Center Operations, Legal, and Human Resources to deliver efficient, effective, branded and legally approved digital campaigns.

Marketing Support                                                      

  • Create/manage project requests in project management tools to meet partner needs, project requirements, and campaign schedules.
  • Create/manage project requests to coordinate campaign plans with project managers, and align with ongoing communications, digital team timelines and campaign management team timelines.
  • Assist in the on boarding of new resorts which includes our digital asset management system (DAM), Leonardo and incorporating content into the booking engine.
  • Coordinates campaign deliverables, reporting, analytics and results metrics; determine cadence and required changes to optimize ongoing campaigns.
  • Responsible for ensuring campaigns are executed on-time and error free through diligent quality assurance.
  • Responsible for aligning digital campaigns with engagement strategies, web/mobile deployments, call center campaigns, offline programs and other business initiatives.
  • Assist with submission of materials through contact strategy review, legal review/approval, contract review, brand/creative production, social/web/mobile deployments and IT development.

Response Reporting                                                                          

  • Analyze and report on results, findings and adjust as necessary to maximize key drivers.
  • Develop reporting with business analysts to monitor program performance, measure results and deliver tools for decision making.
  • Create and distribute reports with email, media, and web analytics for deliverability, opens/clicks, site traffic, page views, trends, conversions, bounce rates, etc.
  • Provide reports and feedback to partners/clients on campaigns; providing input, recommendations and effects to key drivers for each initiative. 

Other                                                                                                      

  • Coordinate digital marketing program opportunities, campaigns and initiatives with Project Managers, Brand/Creative Teams, Content Management Teams, Sales & Marketing Teams, Corporate Programs, Sales Operations, Inventory Management, Field Sales & Marketing, Owner Services, Hospitality/Resort Operations, Brand Services, Human Resources, Call Center Operations and, other internal/external resources.
  • Attend training and meetings as needed.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor degree from a 4-year college in Marketing, Business Management, Computer Science or Hospitality; or equivalent experience

Knowledge and skills

  • Experience working on campaigns that cross multiple channels including but not limited to direct marketing, online media placement, telemarketing, email, web, mobile, social and print/offline materials. (2+ years)
  • Experience building HTML and developing digital content for online marketing campaigns and communications. (2+ years)
  • Experience building and validating HTML for email, web, mobile and/or social.
  • Experience sending and managing email communications through third party email provider, preferred.
  • Experience with project management associated with implementing marketing email campaigns, including managing timelines, creative feedback, targeting, approval cycles, etc. (2+ years)
  • Experience working in a highly-detailed project coordination environment (2+ years)
  • Excellent ability to work effectively with various internal and external constituencies including senior management, regional sales and marketing management, legal, technical teams, etc.
  • Experience handling web based production to maintain content, consistent messaging, lead acquisition, customer engagement and online conversion.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience developing and deploying campaigns with multiple test cells, varied by message, offer, and distribution vehicle.
  • Experience creating and analyzing dashboards to measure program success (1+ years)
  • Strong time management skills, team contributor, and detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated and able to achieve goals with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and implement projects without direct reporting control.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with management, peers, external alliance partners, and outside vendors. Knowledge of SEO/SEM/PPC, preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in timeshare/vacation ownership industry, preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills; comfortable presenting to groups
  • Ability to take initiative, plan, manage and deliver projects on time, required.
  • Must build trust based on programs created and fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Must maintain effectiveness when situations arise that affect work tasks or the work environment, adjusting effectively to multi-task and adapt to changes in processes or requirements. 
  • Must pay careful attention to detail and follow through on all tasks.
  • Must deliver outcomes that are aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.

Job experience

  • 4+ years marketing experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • 2+ years of email marketing experience including content development, creative design, automation, targeting and segmentation.
  • 2+ years of web development experience, including search engine optimization and creative design.
  • 2+ years experience with Microsoft Office including Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
  • 2+ years experience working in digital and online marketing; or, an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
  • Experience coordinating projects in a deadline driven environment
  • Experience in web production, mobile messaging, SEO/SEM, and data segmentation/targeting preferred
  • Experience in tracking and reporting web, email, mobile and online media preferred
  • Experience in lead generation and online media buys a plus
