The Senior Accountant is responsible for helping prepare SEC reports (e.g. 10K, 10Q, 8K, proxy statements, etc.) while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX requirements. The position will play a key role in maintaining financial reporting integrity, performing internal controls, optimizing reporting processes, and supporting leadership. The ideal candidate is detail oriented with strong analytical skills. This role is hybrid in office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote Thursday and Friday.
How You'll Shine:
Support SEC Reporting: Prepare and review SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, etc.), including financial statements, disclosures, and related materials, while coordinating with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
Manage Monthly Close Activities: Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses, with specific responsibilities for stock-based compensation, EPS, board compensation, debt, and accruals.
Review External Communications: Ensure accuracy and completeness of investor and securitization presentations, social responsibility reports, and other public-facing materials.
Maintain SOX Compliance: Execute and document internal controls over financial reporting to meet Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and remediate any identified deficiencies.
Position may include occasional travel for training or meeting.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s in Accounting. Active (or pursuing) CPA license
Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities effectively in order to meet deadlines
Multi-task on competing priorities which are deadline sensitive
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Ability to work independently in team-oriented culture in a fast-paced environment
Possess the ability to effectively work with individuals from multiple business units and corporate functions within the Company, including executive management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Intermediate to advance Excel skills)
Experience with Oracle HFM, PeopleSoft and Workiva a plus
2+ years public accounting, SEC reporting and/or corporate internal audit experience
Unless there is a legal requirement, experience will be accepted for the education requirement.
