Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a Yield Analyst in Orlando, Florida. This position is responsible for the overall reporting support of yield operations and strategy within Inventory Management for a specific geographic area. Responsible for yield and proper monetization of inventory maximizing overall opportunity for resorts in a specific market. This position creates innovative solutions that impact the overall business and department processes while meeting the demands of key business partners. Provides a high level of quality support to key business partners including trends, market conditions and any influences for geographic region. Supports the One Team initiative by engaging with all levels of staff.
Delivering gross arrivals and net occupancy goals in plan relative to applicable assigned resorts, including achieving budgeted mix of owner and nonowner gross arrivals and maximizing total inventory utilization across all usage channels (Club, Exchange, Marketing and Rental).
Forecasting reservation and arrivals pace in relation to monthly targets, achieving targeted accuracy percentages; gross arrivals forecast drivers, variance to budget and prior forecast analysis, including quantifying business impact (such as unplanned maintenance).
Monthly inventory allocations, blockings and reconciliations for assigned resorts; delivering developer inventory in plan to rental to support Developer Obligation offset relative to applicable assigned resorts.
Tracking performance to plan and identifying opportunities to drive incremental utilization based on current and historical trends.
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, effectively working directly with business partners.
Strong in the compilation and interpretation of data from internal systems for business performance measurement purposes.
Identify additional strategies to add incremental business value.
Identify efficiencies in work and execute change.
Achieving deliverable deadlines as defined by leadership.
Learning and understanding various inventory types/products sold and inventory use rights applicable to assigned resorts.
Timely documentation of operational processes applicable to assigned resorts.
Collaboration with peers to develop training materials and sharing best practices.
Other project work and reporting as requested by leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably in Economics, Accounting, Finance or other closely related field required or relevant work experience.
Knowledge and skills
- Excellent strategic, analytical and creative thinking aptitude in both an independent and team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Well versed in reporting, demand, local market conditions, systems and channel mix in all assigned locations.
- Proven ability in statistical reporting and economics
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office (Focus in Excel and Outlook)
Job experience
- 3-5 years of hotel/resort operations/front desk experience preferred
- Revenue and/or yield management in the Hospitality experience preferred
